I am not that rich to buy an iPhone Right now but after reading some articles about the apple's force touch technology i gotta say that (according to my understandings) the Force touch is a next Version of Multi-touch.
So How it Works ?
"Force Touch" uses tiny electrodes around the flexible Retina display to
distinguish between a light tap and a deep press, and trigger instant
access to a range of contextually specific controls. When You Press the screen with a minimum tap force which is capable of activating the force touch sensors, then the device will bring up additional controls in apps like Messages, Music and Calendar. with these the Taptic engines delivers a haptic feedback to the User.
The Taptic Engine !
"Taptic Engine" Gives a feed back to the user in such a physical way (combining vibration and audio) to the user, so that the user is alerted in very gentle way by engaging all the senses of the user.
So Force Touch + Taptic engine = bring up additional controls in the UI by Force Tap And Taptic Engines gives a Physical as well metal Feedback to the users ( a vibration Combined with suitable audio from a specially engineered speaker driver).
already the many apple products like apple watch and mac-book already have force touch feature now the first time the apple is implementing the feature in iPhones ( Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus ).
